According to the Notice of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government on Printing and Distributing the Implementation Plan of Tianjin's Institutional Reform (Jin Dangfa [2009]15), Tianjin Culture, Radio, Film and Television Bureau was established, and the brand of Tianjin Cultural Relics Bureau was added. The Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film and Television is the municipal government department responsible for the work of culture, art, radio, film and cultural relics in the city. Its main responsibilities are:

(a) to implement the laws, regulations and policies on culture and art, radio, film and television and cultural relics, and to draft policies, regulations and rules on culture and art, radio, film and television and cultural relics in this Municipality.
