Huangshan Folk Story: Huangshan Feilai Stone
In the Song Dynasty, there was a stonemason named Fu Shan who wanted to build a bridge in front of his house. Unfortunately, there was no helper, only a woman named Jiao Xiao. Jiao Jiao and Fu Shan have been repairing for a long time, but they are not finished yet. Jiao Xiao put up a sign by the river, which read: "Donate to build the bridge." A cripple brought stones to the bridge. This lame man is Tie Guai Li among the Eight Immortals, and Tie Guai Li brought another huge stone. Only Fu Shan said, "Stone is enough." Tie Guai Li drove this stone and wandered to Huangshan Mountain, where he settled. Jiao Xiao is a man of his word. She inquired about the whereabouts of the fairy everywhere. A toad jumped over and said, "Who are you looking for?" "I'm looking for a fairy named Tie Guai Li." "Tie Guai Li, he went to Penglai with seven other immortals and defeated the East China Sea Dragon King. I don't know where he went. " I heard that Tie Guai Li was missing, and Jiao Jiao couldn't eat or sleep all day. Fu Shan was very anxious and posted notices everywhere. After seeing the notice, Tie Guai Li turned into a swan and flew to Jiao Xiao and told her, "Ah, Tie Guai Li is in Huangshan now. Go find him. " Hearing this, Jiao Xiao immediately set off for Huangshan. It's a long way to Huangshan Mountain, and the horse is tired, so Jiao Xiao has to buy this horse, sell a donkey and ride it on the road. As a result, when she arrived in Guizhou, the donkey was eaten by a tiger and Jiao Xiao had to walk. I don't know how many days she walked, but she came to a tributary of the Yellow River, next to Anhui. Jiao Xiao learned from her father and built it. Huangshan Mountain is very steep. In the mountains, Jiao Xiao had to crawl around on his hands and feet. Sometimes her feet and hands are covered with blood, but Jiao Xiao will never give up. Finally, Tie Guai Li couldn't stand it. He became a sparrow, leading the way for Jiao Xiao, and a sparrow came to his home. Jiao Xiao and Tie Guai Li are married and live happily in Huangshan Mountain.
The Folk Story of Huangshan Mountain: Mount Fuzi in Huangshan Mountain
Fuzi Peak in the northeast of Huangshan Mountain, opposite to Xuanyuan Peak, was originally called Fuzi Mountain, later changed to Fuzi Mountain, and finally called Fuzi Peak. But there is a fairy tale.
It is said that a long time ago, there was a wealthy businessman named Xiao in Hangzhou. His only son has a strange disease of neither fever nor cold. He doesn't eat or drink, but he doesn't sleep. He has been inviting famous doctors, but all in vain. Mr. Xiao had to seek medical advice: "Those who treat children's diseases are willing to give half of their wealth."
One day, an old lady in her seventies, dressed in white gauze and white clothes, came and put it on the door. At first, the foreign minister didn't believe me, but the old woman smiled and said, "Let me see! Not a penny. " W saw her clean and tidy, so she took her to her son's room. The old man sat down and carefully felt his pulse for a while. Strangely, his son opened his eyes and sat up. The old man whispered something to him again. The child was all right and got out of bed clamoring for food. Mr. W was so happy that he quickly changed his previous attitude and took the old man as a guest of honor and stayed for a few more days to see his son's recovery. At the same time, we should fulfill our promise and share half of the property. The old woman smiled and said, "Your childhood illness has healed, and it will never happen again. I am predestined with him. As long as you accumulate more virtues and do more good deeds, I will appreciate your commitment. " I think we should keep our promise, so we shouldn't break our word. The old man smiled and said, "If you really have this sincerity, you can come to Sibrac Mountain to find me in the future." Say and disappear. Only then did Mr. W know that the fairy was helping, and he quickly knelt down and bowed down.
Time flies, a few years later, my son grew up and became a governor. He often talked about the old man's medical skills and wanted to learn medicine from her to help the world. Seeing my son's big wish, I remembered that he was destined to be with him. I don't think it is meaningful to have floating wealth. So I scattered half of my family's wealth to save lives, and the other half was converted into a plate fee to accompany my son to find the old fairy. So, I followed the old man's suggestion and went to the west to find Montenegro. No one knew about Montenegro along the way, but it was lifted by a Taoist priest. It turned out to be Yishan, and later it was changed to Huangshan.
After the father and son arrived in Huangshan Mountain, they took a night trip and visited an old mother in her seventies. She was dressed in white gauze and white clothes to treat incurable diseases. They all said they had never heard of it. Father and son are not discouraged. One day, I came to Xuanyuanfeng and saw a small room with a white towel hanging at the door. My father and son were hungry, so they bought something to eat. Entering the room, I saw the food on the table steaming; There is a Zhang Kuan bed and two pillows against the wall, but there is no owner. Tired and hungry, the father and son ate and slept, and then counted the money, regardless of etiquette and decency. After eating, with the spirit, Mr. Xiao seems to realize something. It seems that someone specially arranged this meal and bed; There is no wind in the mountains, and the white towel at the door floats in one direction. Is it the old fairy who is pointing out the maze? Tell my son to go to bed early, recover physically and mentally, and get up tomorrow morning to continue on his way. When I woke up the next morning, the first thing I saw was steaming food on the table. The father and son had a hearty meal, and then they bowed to the quartet and thanked them for their kindness.
Strange to say, the father and son opened the door and went out. Seeing the hanging white towel floating forward, the father and son followed the white towel closely and walked. There is a cliff dozens of feet high in front of them, but they see the white towel floating to the right. At this time, the big stone wall turned into a huge turtle, and opened its big red mouth to bite them. The father and son rolled and crawled with fear. I really couldn't run, so I knelt down and shouted, "mom, where are you?" Help us! " As soon as the shouts stopped, the tortoise disappeared and the mountain became very beautiful. A halo appeared on the top of the hill opposite. In the halo, Guanyin's old mother, wearing a white scarf, a white robe and a white bottle in her hand, turned out to be an old woman who treated her son. The rich man thought, "I have suffered a lot this trip, and I will never come in vain." My son saved his life because of Master Guanyin. Let's go with Master Guanyin to help all sentient beings. " As soon as this idea came out, Guanyin Bodhisattva sprinkled pure water with willow branches and said, "Come with me." Father and son immediately became two peaks, one high and the other low, slightly inclined to Xuanyuan peak, which was later called "father and son peak". Taibai Academy was built under the peak, where Zhu, a philosopher of the Southern Song Dynasty, gave lectures, so it was renamed "Master Peak". Shenxian Cave, opposite Xuanyuan Peak, is dedicated to Guanyin Bodhisattva. In the sixth year of Tianbao in the Tang Dynasty (747), there was a "Fugu Hall" under the cave, where Guanyin was the main seat and the incense was very strong. At most, there are 2,000 pilgrims a day, and all the loyal disciples of Huining Chifu come to worship incense. It's abandoned now.
The folk story of Huangshan Mountain: Fairy drying shoes.
On the right side of the front of Paiyun Pavilion, there are two stones like a pair of shoes, which are neatly placed on the small peak platform and seem to be drying, hence the name. There is a beautiful legend about "immortals drying shoes" and "immortals drying boots". Once upon a time, in the Taoist temple of Xiandu, Zuofeng, Huangshan, there lived an old Taoist Daoxuan and his disciple Taiqing. At the Xia Zi Palace on the top of the pine forest, there lived Gu Dao and his disciple Miao Zhen. There is a gap between the two Taoist palaces-Xihai Canyon, which has strict Taoist rules, so it is always far away from each other. One winter, it snowed heavily in the mountains and the fire was cut off in Xiandu Pass. Daoxuan had to ask Taiqing to borrow fire from Xia Zi Palace. When Taiqing came to Xia Zi Palace, she met Miao Zhen, and they hit it off and started talking, very affectionate. Since then, two people have to collect firewood and carry water every day, and then talk together, and gradually cut less firewood. Carrying less water. In this way, things were soon discovered by two masters, and both of them were severely reprimanded by the master. It is also stipulated that when collecting firewood and water in the future, the gully and stream at the junction of the two peaks will be the boundary. If they cross the border, they will be killed with whips and wands. After that, it is difficult for two people to talk together. Once, when two masters went down the mountain, they secretly met and agreed on the future; Too clear to hang shoes in front of the mountain, wear shoes to tryst. One day, they were having a sweet tryst, but their master suddenly came back, and the story was exposed, and they were to be severely punished. They thought for a long time and finally came to a conclusion: "If you can't live together, you will die together!" The two joined hands and jumped off the hanging rock into the stormy sea of clouds. Too clear sun-dried boots and a pair of really sun-dried shoes had no time to collect. After a long time, they all became stone boots and shoes, that is, the "fairy drying boots" and "fairy drying shoes" in Huangshan now.
