Cataloging department: responsible for the classification, cataloging and processing of Chinese and western books in the whole library. According to China Library Classification (4th Edition), Chinese and western books are classified. There are classified catalogue, title catalogue and author catalogue for readers to inquire about Chinese and western books in the collection. Readers can also query our library's bibliographic database from retrieval points such as call number, title, author, subject words and ISBN through the campus network.
Circulation department: book lending, stack management, etc. Specific work includes: new book acceptance, book shelving, and book collection protection; Withdraw old books, cancel books and make up books; Do statistical work regularly, report it in time, and do a good job in investigating the collection structure, circulation and readers' borrowing trends; Go through the formalities of borrowing and returning books, make an appointment and urge them to be returned, and go through the formalities of handling violations and losses; Collect and feed back readers' demand information; The department implements open-shelf lending service for readers.
Periodical department: continuous publication collection and binding; Continuous publication circulation reading and reader service; Carry out research on the management and utilization of continuous publications.
Reference department: answer readers' oral, telephone, letter and e-mail inquiries and guide readers to use library resources; Retrieval and guidance of machine readable public catalogue (OPAC) and card catalogue; Retrieval and consultation of CD-ROM database and network database; Thematic consulting services; Regularly hold various training and counseling lectures to help readers inquire about machine-readable catalogues, search CD-ROMs and online databases, and use reference books; Domestic and foreign literature inquiry and original text delivery services; Establish "electronic resources" web page and carry out network consulting service; Freshman entrance education; Reception of off-campus readers; Undertake the teaching tasks of compulsory course of library resource utilization and elective course of scientific and technological literature retrieval. Carry out reading counseling activities for readers; Accept oral or written consultation from readers, and guide readers to make better use of the collected literature resources.
Technology Department: Assist museum leaders in the investigation, trial and introduction of new technologies, applications and equipment, and cooperate with suppliers in debugging and installation. After the equipment application system is put into operation, it is responsible for comprehensive daily maintenance, upgrading and management, providing technical guidance for the application of computer software and hardware in various business departments of the library, developing the application of information technology, and providing electronic resource services for teachers and students in our school. Specifically, technical support services include: the construction, maintenance and security management of our local area network, the construction, maintenance and management of our computer software and hardware system, the development, introduction, maintenance and use guidance of our application system, the maintenance of our mirror database, the production, maintenance and update of our website, and the management of our electronic resource center.
