China Ancient Books: The collection of ancient books in the library of Beijing Normal University is quite distinctive, mainly based on the old collections of the former National Beijing Normal University and Fu Jen Catholic University. Among ancient books, local chronicles and series books are the most abundant and become the representative of characteristics. Among the ancient books in the collection, nearly 3500 kinds are listed as rare books in the collection. According to the time division, there are 4 kinds of Song woodcut and Song woodcut Yuan Ming edition, and 27 kinds of Yuan woodcut and Yuan Ming edition.
Ancient books in western languages: The library of Beijing Normal University also collects ancient books in western languages with the cover of 16 to 19 century sheepskin, covering philosophy, religion, literature, history and geography.
Rare periodicals: There were more than 240 rare periodicals in the early 20th century.
Shi Jing Library: The Library of Beijing Normal University has a Shi Jing Library, which collects academic works of teachers and alumni, doctoral dissertations of all college students and master students, various teaching materials compiled by school teachers, and the achievements of papers funded by the Education, Social Sciences and Medical Research Papers Award Scheme.
