The editorial department is located on the first floor of the south building of the library, and has two main tasks:
The first is literature interview. According to the needs of discipline construction, teaching and scientific research, we collect and interview Chinese and foreign books, electronic resources and other literature materials, supplement the collection, and build a literature resource system with its own characteristics.
The second is the overall order of the documents. According to the international and domestic general standards, all kinds of carrier documents entering Tibet are processed and sorted, and the collection documents are orderly through a series of work such as classification, subject indexing, description and processing; Responsible for the construction and maintenance of bibliographic database of books, electronic resources and other documents in our library; Formulate detailed rules for the classification, description, subject indexing and machine-readable catalogue of all kinds of literature materials in our library, as well as the declaration of new books. Participate in the construction of all kinds of literature joint catalogue of colleges and universities in Hainan Province.
The circulation reading room is located on the third floor of the North Block of the Library, and is responsible for: the first lending room, the second lending room, the third lending room, interlibrary loan service and card management. The main task of this department is to provide borrowing services for Chinese books that entered Tibet after 1950, and to provide book renewal and reservation services. Responsible for interlibrary loan service, this department is also responsible for the loss reporting and return of personal library cards.
The First Lending Room of China Books: Located on the third floor of the North Block of the Library, it mainly collects social science books that have been in Tibet since 2000.
The second lending room for Chinese books: located on the fourth floor of the North Block of the Library, it mainly collects Chinese books on natural sciences that have been in Tibet since 2000;
The third lending room of Chinese books: located on the third floor of the south building of the library, it mainly collects all kinds of Chinese books 1986- 1999.
The fourth lending room for Chinese books: located on the first floor of the North Block of the Library, it mainly collects all kinds of Chinese books published in Tibet before 1985 (including 1985) and some donated books.
Interlibrary loan service: located on the third floor of the north block of the library, it is responsible for handling the related affairs of interlibrary loan service of universities in Hainan Province.
Periodicals are located on the 9th floor of the North Block of the Library, and are in charge of five storerooms: current issue reading room, current newspaper reading room, Chinese back issue reading room, newspaper binding reading room and binding room. The main task of this department is to collect and interview Chinese and foreign newspapers and periodicals according to the needs of teaching and scientific research in our school, classify and catalogue them, and provide reading services.
Current periodicals reading room: located on the west side of the ninth floor of the North Building of the library, it collects Chinese and foreign periodicals ordered in that year.
Newspaper reading room: located on the east side of the ninth floor of the north block of the library, it collects Chinese and foreign newspapers ordered that year.
Chinese back issue reading room: located on the second floor of the south building of the library, it collects bound volumes of Chinese periodicals over the years.
Chinese newspaper bound reading room: located on the east side of the first floor of the north block of the library, it collects bound copies of Chinese and foreign newspapers over the years.
Binding room: located on the second floor of the south building of the library, its main task is to bind the newspapers and periodicals in the library and rebind the newspapers and periodicals that have been bound and damaged.
The Science, Technology and Electronic Resources Service Department is located on the sixth floor of the North Block of the Library, and is in charge of the first electronic reading room, the second electronic reading room and the projection room. The main task of this department is to be responsible for the maintenance and management of ILASⅱⅱ II II system and equipment, the network management and database management of the library; Responsible for the work of electronic reading room; Provide electronic resource reading service and projection playback service.
The first and second electronic reading rooms: located on the fifth and sixth floors of the north block of the library, there are 430 readers' computers, which can provide catalogue inquiry and the use of electronic resources such as electronic books, electronic periodicals, professional databases and audio-visual materials; Provide internet browsing and other services.
Projection room: located on the sixth floor of the North Block of the Library, it collects a certain number of video products, covering ideological and political, national defense, science and technology, culture and education, etc. Among them, there are many excellent images such as foreign language teaching films and classic literary masterpieces. This room is an important place for the library to educate readers and promote resources.
The information consultation special collection is located on the seventh floor of the north block of the library, and is in charge of the information consultation room, Hainan Literature Center, foreign language lending room, reference book retrieval room and ancient books reading room. The main work is: 1. Ancient Books Reading Room: Located on the eighth floor of the North Block of the Library, it collects ancient books and characteristic documents (local chronicles).
Hainan Literature Center: located on the eighth floor of the North Block of the Library, it is equipped with Hainan Literature, Hainan Literature Museum, exhibition hall of teachers' scientific research achievements, and special counters, which collect Hainan local literature (including newspapers, periodicals and various books over the years), Hainan literature and teachers' scientific research achievements, etc. Carry out digital construction of Hainan's characteristic resources.
The information consulting room is located on the seventh floor of the north building of the library, providing services such as reference consultation, sci-tech novelty retrieval, document retrieval and delivery, and inspection on behalf of others.
