Books in general libraries are put on the shelves according to China Library Classification, and one letter represents a big category. Just write down the letters of the classes you often read.

China Library Classification divides knowledge into three categories: philosophy, social science and natural science. Marxism–Leninism and Mao Zedong Thought are the theoretical basis guiding our thoughts and the first basic category. At the same time, considering the characteristics of books and documents, some books and documents with complex contents that cannot be classified according to the nature of a certain subject are classified as "comprehensive books", which are put at the end as basic categories, thus forming five categories, the order of which is as follows: 1.

Because there are many contents of social science and natural science, and they are developing rapidly, in order to meet the needs of the classification of books and documents, China Library Classification follows the principle of scientific classification, and divides them from total to sub, from general to concrete, from simple to complex, and from low to high according to the internal relationship between sciences. The social science department is divided into nine categories, and the natural science department is divided into ten categories, forming a systematic and complete classification table of twenty-two categories.
