On the afternoon of February 29th, 65438, Dongsheng Town ushered in a great event of benefiting the people-Dongsheng Branch of Zhongshan Library was officially opened to the public, which was an important measure for our town to attach importance to the "last mile" of cultural service to the masses.
In order to meet the growing spiritual and cultural needs of the broad masses of the people in our town, the town party Committee and the town government regard the construction of Dongsheng Library Branch as one of the ten livelihood issues in our town in 20 14. The library branch is built according to the standards of the city branch, with a building area of 4,800 square meters and a building height of 6 floors. The second floor of the building is the first phase project (with an area of 800 square meters), which is divided into book collection area, exhibition area, service area, retrieval area, multimedia area, children's reading area and adult reading area. In terms of hardware configuration, the library has a total collection of 60,000 books, 35,000 books, reading seats 100, electronic reading computers 12, and optical fiber network 12M, which is convenient for readers to read and query online. In order to better serve the masses, our town openly recruited three full-time librarians and trained them for a week at the municipal level. Dongsheng Library Branch not only provides book lending services, but also holds various reading activities, exhibitions, training, new book promotion, book drifting and so on. From time to time, guide the village (community) cultural rooms in the town to carry out self-cultivation reading activities, and give full play to the positive role of the library in counseling reading, social education, information sharing, knowledge promotion, reader exchange and cultural communication.
Dongsheng Library Branch is warmly decorated. In addition to neat inspirational slogans, there are warm reminders in the venue. Green plants are distributed in every corner, making people feel at home here, and people in the town can also enjoy the fruits of cultural construction.
