Brief Introduction of Inner Mongolia University Library
Inner Mongolia University Library is one of the largest modern large-scale document information centers in Inner Mongolia University and even the autonomous region, with the richest document resources. It is divided into two libraries, North and South. North Library covers an area of 16 170 square meters, with nearly 1526 reading seats, 20 reading rooms for teachers and students, and 3 electronic audio-visual reading rooms. The South Zone Pavilion covers an area of 28,000 square meters, and the new pavilion integrates library collection, reading, exhibition and office functions. Libraries, branches and reference rooms have collected more than 2.74 million paper documents, more than 260,000 kinds of electronic books, 42 Chinese and foreign databases, and 2 self-built databases/kloc-0. A scientific collection system with distinctive national and regional characteristics has been established, which focuses on Mongolian studies and life sciences and guarantees books for teaching and scientific research in schools. Services include borrowing books in Mongolian, Chinese and foreign languages; Reading newspapers and periodicals in Mongolian, Chinese and foreign languages; Online search, electronic reading, audio-visual services, professional training, and special literature services (Mongolian studies, life sciences, foreign language literature in colleges and universities, and Ku-book series).
