An essay with the theme of appreciating the world in books.
At dusk, I went into the study as usual, came to the desk and turned on the lamp. The room is orange, full of books of different sizes, pulling long shadows and shrouded in this light.

I watched quietly, feeling a little more cordial and satisfied. Owning a book is my childhood dream. I remember when I was six years old, my mother and I went to my uncle's house in the city. Walking into my uncle's study, I saw a few books full, and my eyes widened. I am curious and envious, and I have an inexplicable desire, as if there are many delicious foods in front of me, which makes my mouth water. This strong desire prompted me to reach for a colorful Aesop's Fables without hesitation. I can't wait to open the book, and the colorful illustrations and dense words in the book suddenly attracted me deeply. Although I don't read much, I have a soft spot for the words in the book. In my eyes, those words seem to be a mystery, which affects me closely.

I imagined one scene after another in the book ... I almost forgot the world and myself, as if I had applauded the victorious little turtle at the end. Seeing that I like books so much, my mother took me to the bookstore to buy books. I was ecstatic when I entered the bookstore. This is a sea of books, a colorful world. I opened my arms, jumped into the sea of books, touched this, looked at that, and sucked ink with my nose. I chose a book "365 New Children's Songs" from a dazzling array of books, opened the colorful pages, and I saw the words I fell for. He is like a loving mother, who can let me follow her closely and lead me to the scene. I plunged into the book, and I read rhythmically with unfamiliar words. On the way home, I opened the "delicious food" that intoxicated me again. My mother taught me to read word by word, and I worked hard.

I quickly learned a simple nursery rhyme. I began to hum in a low voice, and my heart was filled with a sense of accomplishment. Since then, books have become my inseparable friends. Every summer vacation, I get up early, sit under the grape trellis in the yard, pick up my beloved book, enjoy this realm of my own, and indulge in the strange kingdom of words for a long time. Thousands of years of history are slowly flowing out of the pages, and anecdotes of celebrities at all times and in all countries are vividly portrayed between the lines. The ever-changing world is beautiful, and the black and white words in the book jump happily in my eyes ... books are my best mentor and my closest companion. Reading is beautiful and free. It makes my dreams soar and my fantasies wander in the air.

Now I have my own bookshelf, and I cherish my favorite books, Robinson Crusoe, How Steel was Tempered, Water Margin ... Looking at the books in front of me, I feel my love for life and gratitude for books, and my dream will start here.
