Loudi Vocational and Technical College is a public full-time ordinary institution of higher learning approved by the Hunan Provincial People's Government, aiming at cultivating highly skilled professionals urgently needed by the society. The campus covers an area of nearly 800 mu with a building area of 200,000 square meters. There are 504 faculty members and nearly 8,000 full-time students. The college environment is elegant. The college is located in Loudi, a beautiful national forest city, with convenient transportation. Hunan-Guizhou and Luozhan railways meet here, and Shanghai-Switzerland (Shanghai? D Ruili), Taiao (Taiyuan? D Macao) Expressway passes through here, and 207,320 national highways and 4 provincial highways run through the city. The teaching staff is strong. Professor Zeng Sumin, academician of China Academy of Engineering, served as honorary president. There are 282 teachers in higher vocational education, including double-qualified teachers 122, 96 associate professors and 66 doctoral and master students. The college also employs experts and scholars with rich practical experience as part-time professors from other universities, research institutes and large enterprises, and employs foreign teachers to teach.

There are 30 majors in computer information and technology department, electromechanical engineering department, architectural engineering department, finance and trade department, foreign languages department, public affairs management department, sports art department and continuing education department. Advanced teaching facilities. There are modern training buildings and workshops, computer rooms, CAD/CAM training rooms, multimedia language rooms, PLC and high-frequency electronic laboratories, and engineering drawing, home appliance maintenance, accounting simulation, e-commerce, numerical control simulation, computer network, metalworking and other 108 experimental training rooms. The campus network connects all offices, classrooms, laboratories and dormitories, and can obtain information conveniently and quickly. The total collection is nearly 400,000 volumes. Those who are rated as "three good pacesetters" or "excellent pacesetters" can get scholarships from 500 yuan every year; Those who meet the requirements can get the "Dean Scholarship" 800 yuan.
