2. In ancient times, books were divided into four categories: classics, history, books and collections, which were hidden in four Kus, so they were also called four Kus. The book that Gan Long wants to compile is to collect all the books in the "Siku Quanshu", so it is named "Siku Quanshu".
3. Sikuquanshu was compiled by more than 360 senior officials and scholars, including Ji Yun, and copied by more than 3,800 people under the auspices of Emperor Qianlong, and it took 13 years to compile. The series is divided into four parts: classics, history, books and collections, hence the name Sku. * * * There are more than 3,500 kinds of books, 79,000 volumes and 36,000 volumes respectively, with about 800 million words, which basically cover all the books in ancient China, so it is called a complete book.
4. In those days, Emperor Qianlong ordered seven copies of Sikuquanshu to be hidden all over the country. The first four volumes are kept in Wen Yuan Pavilion in the Forbidden City, Wenshui Pavilion in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, Wen Yuan Pavilion in Yuanmingyuan and Jinwen Pavilion in Chengde, Hebei Province, which is the so-called North Fourth Pavilion. The three parts of copying are kept in Wen Hui Pavilion in Yangzhou, Wenzong Pavilion in Zhenjiang and Wen Lan Pavilion in Hangzhou, which is the so-called Nansan Pavilion.
