Qingdao Binhai College was founded in 1992, and became the first batch (two) private undergraduate colleges in Shandong Province in 2005.

The school has 14 teaching units, such as Basic Arts and Sciences College, Arts and Sciences College, Business School, Information Engineering College, Electromechanical Engineering College, Foreign Languages College, International Cooperation College, Architectural Engineering College, Hotel Management College, Education College, Art and Media College, Marxism College, Medical College and Finance College.
