What is the general continuous tense like?
General progressive tense:

Simple continuous tense indicates the action that is being done now.

We are working now.

We're working.

The composition of the general continuous tense: be+ present participle.

It's raining hard. It's raining hard.

Are you studying now? Are you studying?

They are watching TV. They are watching TV.

The word segmentation method is as follows:

Generally speaking, -ing is added directly after the verb prototype.

Ask for a job, watch printing, learn to speak and spell at a rainy station.

Verbs ending in the silent e, go to -e and add -ing.
