On July 14, 2006, Crown Prince asturias and his wife held an opening ceremony for Cervantes College in downtown Beijing, which also fulfilled the words of the famous writer Miguel de Cervantes to Duke Lemos in the preface to Don Quixote: "The great monarch of China" wrote hundreds of thousands of letters in the words of China.
Cervantes Spanish Cultural Center is a non-profit organization founded by the Spanish government to promote Spanish and Spanish-speaking American culture in China. Work closely with the Spanish Embassy to establish and enhance the image of Spain.
2. Miguel de Cervantes Library in Shanghai
On June 6th, 2007, Crown Prince asturias and his wife went to the Spanish Consulate General in Shanghai to unveil the Miguel Cervantes Library, a Spanish cultural center. Named after a great Spanish writer, the library will become the second Cervantes College in China after Beijing Cervantes College. Since its establishment, the center has been committed to promoting Spanish teaching and promoting the culture of Spanish-speaking countries by organizing various forms of cultural activities and Miguel de Cervantes Library. The promotion content includes showing writers or artists from Spain or Spanish-speaking countries, involving music, history, philosophy, science and technology, stage art, plastic arts, movies, visual arts, symbolic elements of cultural categories of Spanish-speaking countries and other fields. The substantive work of promotion is to initiate or organize various colorful cultural activities.
3. Shanghai Cizhi-Cervantes Course Project
On May 13 and 15, the "China-Chile-Cervantes Spanish Teaching Cooperation Project" officially settled in Shanghai. Two partners, Cervantes College of Spain and Shanghai Cizhi International Education and Training Center, held a press conference at the Cultural Office of the Spanish Consulate General in Shanghai, which was attended by Spanish government officials, the president of Cervantes College of Beijing and the general manager of Shanghai Cizhi International Education and Training Center.
In order to meet the growing demand of students and cultural lovers in Shanghai, Cervantes College of Beijing, the Spanish Cultural Center under the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, cooperated with Shanghai Cizhi International Education and Training Center to launch Spanish teaching courses, further promote Spanish language and culture, and build a bridge between Chinese and Western cultures.
