I'm going to be admitted! ! ! The first test is third, the second test is second, and the total score is second. The road to postgraduate entrance examination has finally settled ~
In 2020, I got 383 points in the initial test of the postgraduate entrance examination, majoring in linguistics and applied linguistics in the College of Literature of Northwest University. After the score came out, it was a little unexpected, but it also proved that my review for about half a year was quite effective, so I would like to share some of my experiences with you here.
Second,? Reasons for choosing a school
At the beginning, I was also a graduate student, and I was not very good at checking schools. I'm preparing for the exam and collecting information slowly. Considering from three aspects of regional colleges and universities, I am very interested in linguistics, without considering the direction of literature at all. Because I am from the north, I don't want to go to the south and want to get into a good school, so I collected 2 1 1 colleges in the north, combined with my personal wishes and geographical location, and finally decided to apply for the pragmatics major of Northwest University.
For me, the factors for choosing the pragmatism major in Northwest University are:
1, there are not many bibliographies in official website, which is relatively easy for comprehensive schools.
2. The style of the real question is relatively basic and applied, which is very suitable for my habit of doing the question.
3、? Because the undergraduate course is non-specialized, and Northwest University protects the first choice, it is relatively fair.
Third,? Preparation of specialized courses
I formally started reviewing professional courses from the summer vacation, because I was admitted to our school and we all studied the bibliography, so I have some foundation. If I were a student in another school, I could prepare early. The first time I read a professional class, I just read a book and didn't take notes. As a result, I didn't remember anything when I watched it the second time. So everyone should take notes from the beginning when reviewing! ?
2. 1. Introduction to Linguistics (leaf)
The total score of Chinese 150 is the subject with the largest proportion. A few years ago, official website of Xida University gave a bibliography of Ye Ben and Wu Ben, but actually the main reference was Ye Ben. Now the reference book has deleted Wu Ben. If you are not sure about a concept, you can read through it without reading five books. The leaf edition book is relatively thin, so everyone must thoroughly understand all the knowledge points in the book. Because language is more systematic and organized than modern Chinese, I choose to take notes with mind maps.
This year, everyone generally responded that the problem of language syllabus is hard to say, and the score is relatively low (the highest score last year was 130+). Actually, it's not difficult, but the direction of the problem has changed. This change is mainly reflected in the choice of fill-in-the-blank questions. The big question is still relatively basic and the difficulty is relatively small. This year, we focused on theoretical knowledge and historical linguistics, but we happened to have this course last semester in senior three, so we came into contact with a lot of knowledge about this course, but we didn't remember it clearly during the exam. If you have time, you can read Xu Tongqiang's historical linguistics.
The questions in the outline include choice, single choice, multiple choice, judgment, noun explanation, short answer, application, discussion and so on. Personally, I think the multiple-choice question is the most difficult and the score is relatively high (2 points for one question). When I do the real questions, I first sort out all the noun explanations separately. The short answer questions are written in my own language, and the choice of filling in the blanks is written directly on the real questions. In fact, the knowledge points of big questions are almost the same every year, so you can find the rules in the real questions yourself. ?
Generally speaking, the topic of the Chinese syllabus is relatively routine. As long as you have read the book thoroughly, there is basically no problem.
2.2. Large synthesis
The grand synthesis includes 60 points for ancient Chinese, 60 points for modern Chinese and 30 points for teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Next, I will talk about it by subject.
2.2. 1. Ancient Chinese (Guo Xiliang)
I believe that ancient Chinese is the biggest headache for many people, and so am I, but in fact, the content of ancient Chinese has changed the least. The real questions of ancient Chinese are mainly divided into two parts: in-class and out-of-class. There are three parts in the class: ancient Chinese reading (Guo Xiliang's Ancient Chinese), extended meanings and general theory.
Every year, the in-class reading of Xida University is basically concentrated in the second unit of the first volume of Guo Ben Gu Han. Except for the first unit last year, Biography is the story of Lou. So everyone should focus on the first book, especially the second unit, and be sure to memorize every note and grammar point, just remember that this part of the score is for nothing. Then there is the extended meaning part, which is also a question that you can score as long as you remember it well, but don't skip the examples given in the book when you remember the extended meaning! The real questions are all examined in combination with these examples!
The general part is also the focus of the exam. This part should not only understand the knowledge points given in the book, but also learn to use them, because the teacher can't directly test what your grammar points are, and will usually give you a passage of ancient Chinese, combined with the ancient Chinese examination. For example, I took notes on the Book of Songs this year, so I must not memorize them by rote!
What is completed in class is the extracurricular part, which can only be accumulated by you at ordinary times. Punctuation, translation and annotation are inevitable in the investigation of classical Chinese after class. If there are punctuation marks, you can find some ancient Chinese without punctuation marks to practice on the Internet. Translation and annotation can improve your ability to read ancient Chinese through classroom training.
2.2.2. Modern Chinese (Huang Liao Ben)
Don't despise modern Chinese! Don't despise modern Chinese! Don't despise modern Chinese! Say the important words three times. At the beginning of revision, you may think Xianhan is easier to use, but don't be fooled by its lovely appearance! The knowledge points of modern Chinese are very trivial, especially the grammar part. You must put your notes in order and understand every sentence in the book! You can have extra time to read Mr. Zhu's grammar lecture notes, which helps me a lot! I may have read Xianhan's notes seven or eight times, but there are still many trivial knowledge points that I haven't fully remembered, so everyone must start preparing Xianhan as soon as possible! There are many changes in the direction of Chinese real questions, especially discussion questions and application questions. Only by reading the book thoroughly can you get high marks! However, the repetition rate of Chinese real questions is also relatively high, so we should study the real questions well. I do all the real questions in modern Chinese by classification. The phonetic problems are all put together, the grammatical ones are put together, and the literal ones are put together. It is easier to sum up your weaknesses. Now Chinese notes can also be referenced ~
And don't be opportunistic, because it doesn't matter which knowledge point. It turns out that one or two very unpopular knowledge points will be tested every year, so everyone must review all the places in place!
2.2.3. Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (Liu Xun)
Teaching Chinese as a foreign language only takes 30 points, so you don't need to spend too much time preparing. I didn't start reciting until 1 1 month. Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (Introduction to Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language) does not need to be read too carefully. I just memorized the materials I found online. The book is too thick, and many knowledge points will not be tested at all, so there is no need to waste time ~
Fourth,? English preparation
I believe everyone has read a lot of experience stickers about English review for postgraduate entrance examination, but other people's methods may not be suitable for you, so don't indulge in reading experience stickers, and be sure to sum up your own review methods!
1. 1. 1.
I watched a video of Zhu Wei's love of Chinese characters in March and April, and then put it on hold. His class is long and full of nonsense, which is not suitable for me. And you still need a backrest to recite words. Personally, I think watching videos is of little use.
When I formally reviewed in July, I recited the word book directly for the first time. I used all the word books, such as Little Red Book, Love Story and Wang Jiangtao, but they were inefficient and boring. I was originally an impatient person, so I was very upset for a while, because the words I recited every day would be forgotten the next day.
Then I began to recite words in ink, which proved to be the most suitable method for me. Everyone should be familiar with ink and ink. I used it before the postgraduate entrance examination, but because I read some experience stickers at that time, everyone said it was best to recite it with words, so I didn't think about using software, which also proved my point above that other people's experience may not be suitable for you! ?
When I first started using ink and ink, most of the words in it were basically "unknown", and later I learned it by repeating it on the software every day. But my little hint is a word. If you don't know anything, just click "forget"! This can help you remember better.
Another point is that I memorized the words too late, and it didn't officially start until July, which caused some outline words to be unclear. Reading during the exam, my heart is very empty. Look familiar but can't remember, which affects the mentality. So be sure to start reciting early! It is never too early! ! !
1. 1.2. True question
As we all know, the most important reference material in English is the real question, which can be bought in the yellow book or the truth of postgraduate entrance examination. The truth of postgraduate entrance examination is more suitable for students with weak foundation. In the early stage, I used the truth of postgraduate entrance examination, and later I bought the yellow book on the idle fish and looked at it. In fact, I think it's all the same, and I still have to rely on my own understanding.
Next, I mainly talk about the experience of reading. The most important thing is: Stay close to Tang Chi! ! ! Especially the arhat class and the old topic class he taught, only after listening did I know that reading was done in this way, which really helped me invincible! But what I said is based on your memorizing enough words!
I started to do real questions in July and August, only reading books, basically one or two articles a day. After watching Tang Chi's video, I marked all the words I didn't know, mainly listening to Tang Shu's analysis of the options and trying to understand why I was wrong. I didn't review long and difficult sentences alone, but looked at the sentences I didn't understand and the translation of the truth of the postgraduate entrance examination. I don't recommend myself to translate the whole article here, which is time-consuming and laborious If you really want to translate, don't write by hand, just type! I translated several readings directly on the computer, and the effect was the same.
I think the difficulty of reading for postgraduate entrance examination lies in his problems and interference options. Sometimes you may not be able to choose the right one after reading the article, so I don't think it is necessary to interpret the meaning of every sentence. The key is to grasp the thinking of answering questions!
I read the real question three times, the first time I made a lot of mistakes, the second time and the third time I was right. The most important thing is to pay close attention to the questions that you have repeatedly made mistakes, depending on what type of questions you have done (such as detailed questions). Remember, it is more important to analyze the causes of mistakes than to make a few mistakes! ! !
I also watched the grammar video of Jing Tian, a teacher from New Oriental. If you have enough time and poor grammar, you can read it. If time is short, it is not recommended.
To tell the truth, I have no experience to share with you, because I am not prepared. The main reason is that my schedule is wrong, and there is too little time left for the third hour in the future. Fortunately, I got a relatively simple subtitle in the new question this year, and I memorized all the translated words, so I didn't score. I don't mention gestalt. It was finished in the last ten minutes because it was not ready for gestalt. I only did the questions in recent years, and I thought it was quite simple, but I didn't care. Everyone must not learn from me! ! ! Be sure to arrange your study plan reasonably! ! ! (Lesson of Blood) I have seen three episodes of online lessons translated by Tang Jing, a teacher from New Oriental, which are very good, but I didn't finish them because of limited time. I listened to the new questions from Mr. Tang Shu and Mr. Song Yixuan. In fact, I think their methods are similar, just choose what you like. Gestalt is not recommended because I didn't go to class!
I also prepared the composition part very late, and it may take 10 to officially start. I read others' sharing in Zhihu and bought a composition template. Looking at Zhihu now, it seems that the author of this template was severely scolded, but I think it is really useful to me. It doesn't take up too much review time, and the final result is also very good. I may have finished writing a big composition in ten minutes during the exam. However, after I bought the template, I still consulted the information of many famous teachers, and then added and changed a lot of content on the basis of the original template, which can be regarded as forming a new template of my own. I strongly recommend you to do this! It's easy. It won't be like others. If you write a small composition, you will only recite the format in the end, not the model essay. You go directly to the examination room, because I think the small composition is very inseparable (the candidates in dry areas don't listen to me), so you don't spend time and you can't write well in the exam. Haha, you all use the most basic words (because you only read English and remember Chinese when memorizing words, but you can't remember any advanced words at all), but I am English. But if you are a down-to-earth person, be prepared! I repeat, this is just my method, which may not be suitable for you.
That's all the English part, and here's the political part.
Verb (short for verb)? Political preparation
My political score is not too high, but it is enough for me, because I spend far less time than professional courses and English.
I began to review politics in July. I bought Xiao Xiurong's lecture and 1000 questions, as well as Xu Tao's core test case. In the early stage, I used core test cases every day, and then I listened to the intensive class in Xu Tao. After listening, I did 1000. However, many people suggest that the class should be accompanied by Xiao's big book. Xiao's book is comprehensive in knowledge, but I think the typesetting is not as good as the core test cases.
Later, I bought a lot of materials, such as a series of supporting books by Feng Cao, but in fact, few books are completely useful, so I advise you not to waste money like me! The most important thing is Xiao four shaw VIII. I sorted these sets of papers separately for my own reading. I only recited the big topic of Xiao Si. Although everyone says that you are not allowed to take the exam today, I think the big topic of politics is to change the form, and everything you recite can be decided at night (the person who scored full marks in the political college entrance examination 100 and 88 points said).
Write it at the end
When taking the postgraduate entrance examination, I am glad to have good friends to study with, but I still have to rely on myself to recite the questions. I didn't feel lonely in the whole process, but I was enriched. In fact, it is very important to have your own rhythm. Everyone who chooses to take the postgraduate entrance examination is bound to give up something. Since we have chosen this road, we must stick to it. After the exam, I thought I couldn't even pass the national line, and the result was not bad. I must keep a good attitude. At first, I thought this science was also good. I worked hard for six months and gave the university an account for four years. Although time is pressing, I feel full and my mentality has been relatively stable. I am really grateful to my postgraduate partners. I feel very warm when I think of the days when we worked together in the library. You don't have to worry about the present and don't have to worry too much about the future. When you experience something, the scenery in front of you is different from before.
