How to guide students to make good use of the school library
As a school librarian, we should take various measures and take a multi-pronged approach to guide students to understand and make good use of book resources. The first is to offer library knowledge courses in all grades, and use classroom teaching to teach students to know and use the library. 1. Freshmen can organize classroom teaching in time, or organize students of all classes to attend lectures in the library to learn about the service functions of various departments, and then issue library cards to let students choose their favorite books and handle the borrowing procedures well. 2. In the second grade, students can be introduced to the various categories of China Library Classification, and learn to use the classified catalogue to retrieve the required books. 3. The third grade can guide students to use commonly used reference books. Second, widely and deeply publicize the recommended books. Junior high school students are growing up, with a strong thirst for knowledge and a wide range of reading interests, but there is also the problem of borrowing books blindly. This requires librarians to publicize and recommend books extensively and deeply in various ways to help students choose. 1. Students should give timely guidance when choosing books. Let students choose books, but they can't let themselves go. When they find that students choose inappropriate books, they should make suggestions in time, patiently understand their borrowing purpose and reading interest, and provide one or a series of books for them to choose from. Seize the opportunity of students' borrowing to display excellent books for students to choose by themselves, so as to avoid making students feel forced to choose. 2. Invite teachers to participate in the formulation and recommendation of extracurricular reading bibliography.
