Esperanto is an international auxiliary language founded by Dr. L.L. zamenhof, a Polish Jew, on the basis of Indo-European language family in 1888. It aims at eliminating language barriers in international communication and is known as "International Mandarin". As early as 1954, UNESCO officially listed esperanto association in the world as a UNESCO B-level advisory unit at the Montevideo conference, which confirmed the official status of esperanto association in the United Nations and UNESCO. The World Federation of United Nations Associations has also adopted a positive attitude towards Esperanto.
