What are the spatial characteristics of St. Kyle Square?
The majestic St. Kyle's Cathedral is located in the west of the square, hence the name St. Kyle's Square. This church, built in 829 AD, is a thousand-year-old treasure and is worth visiting again. The nearby Governor's Mansion was originally a defensive fortress built in the 9th century, which was later destroyed by Zhu Rong. Its existing appearance can be traced back to 14 to 15 century, and its magnificent architecture fully shows the national prestige of the past. The grand canal flows through here, and there are many luxury houses on both sides of the south bend. You can enjoy the beauty of the water by boat.

On the east side of St. Kyle Square are St. Kyle Cathedral and Quadrilateral Bell Tower, and on the west side are the Governor's Office and St. Kyle Library. There are tens of thousands of pigeons and bands in the square, and clowns wearing strange masks pass by from time to time. There is an affiliated Little Square in the south of St. Kyle Square, and a lagoon adjacent to the Venetian Grand Canal in the south of Little Square. There are two famous white stone pillars along the Venice River. One pillar is carved with the sacred Dior of Venice, and the other pillar is carved with another flying lion guarding the sacred Kyle of Venice. These two stone pillars are the official gates of Venice, and the VIPs of Venice enter the city from among them. This used to be the place where the death penalty was executed in Venice.

Basilica di Kyle is not only a church, but also an excellent building and a treasure house with rich works of art..

St. Kyle's church is actually a fusion of eastern and western architectural features. From the appearance, its five domes are all modeled after the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. The ornate decoration on the front comes from Byzantine style; And the structure of the whole church presents the design of the Greek cross.

The internal art collection comes from all over the world, because starting from 1075, all ships returning to Venice from overseas must pay a precious gift to decorate this "St. Kyle's House".

The predecessor of the church is a small church built in the 9th century, dedicated to Saint Kyle, the guardian of Venice. Reconstruction after the fire, 1073 completed the main structure. As for the five entrances to the front of the church and its magnificent Roman arch, they were completed in succession in the17th century. Above the arch of the entrance are five mosaics depicting the deeds of St. Kyle, namely "The body of St. Kyle was transported from Constantinople", "The body arrived in Venice" and "The Final Judgment".

There are four replica bronze horses above the front central arch. The original collection is in the church. They are bronze works from the fourth century BC. The Venetians plundered Constantinople (now Istanbul, Turkey) in 1204. Although they were brought back to Paris by Napoleon, they later returned to Venice.
