Introduction to Tsinghua University:

It is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). Ranked among the first batch of double-class 985 engineering universities in China, 2 1 1, and was selected as the pilot program of basic subject enrollment reform in 201colleges and universities. The school is located in Beijing, with Party Secretary Qiu Yong and President Wang Xiqin. The school motto is to strive for self-improvement, be virtuous and carry things.

Tsinghua University is a comprehensive research university, a base for high-level personnel training and scientific and technological research in China, and is known as the cradle of red engineers. As of August 2022, the school covers an area of 462.74 hectares, with a building area of 3,026,700 square meters. It has 12 disciplines, 2 1 college and 59 teaching departments, including science, engineering, literature, art, history, philosophy, economics, management, law, teaching, medicine and interdisciplinary subjects.

School discipline construction:

By May 2022, there were 22 first-class disciplines and 15 national key disciplines in Tsinghua University, among which the number of first-class disciplines and national key disciplines both ranked first in China. In addition, there are three interdisciplinary Beijing key disciplines, five first-class disciplines and eight two disciplines key disciplines.

In Tsinghua University, 54 disciplines participated in the fourth national discipline evaluation, and 37 disciplines were rated as Class A disciplines, including chemistry, biology, mechanics, mechanical engineering, instrument science and technology, material science and engineering, power engineering and engineering thermophysics, electrical engineering, control science and engineering, computer science and technology, architecture, water conservancy engineering, nuclear science and technology, environmental science and engineering, urban and rural planning, landscape architecture, management science and engineering.
