Amazon ordered $54 and the buyer refunded it. Why did Amazon charge me $48?
Because it includes Amazon transportation costs.

Amazon platform has two delivery methods, one is self-delivery, and the other is Amazon FBA. The returns of these two methods are different.

The first is self-delivery. If the buyer doesn't like to pick up the goods for personal reasons after purchasing the goods, the buyer needs to apply for a return at his buyer's backstage. As long as the seller agrees to the return application in the background, Amazon will automatically generate a return code for the buyer. In this case, the buyer needs to send a courier to the seller's harvest address, and the return freight is borne by the buyer. However, if the goods are quality problems or misunderstandings caused by the seller's improper description, the seller needs to bear the freight, and the seller needs to provide prepaid labels for the buyer to return.

Followed by FBA delivery. Whether it is the quality problem of the goods delivered by FBA or the return caused by the buyer's dissatisfaction with the goods, the freight is borne by FBA. When the buyer applies for a refund, Amazon will charge the seller a return management fee for the order. If the return is an order formed by multiple items, and the buyer only returns one item, Amazon will charge a return management fee of up to $5. Because this formula is calculated for each refunded product, when you refund multiple products of the same product, Amazon will keep a refund management fee of no more than $5 for that product.
