The town is bounded on three sides by Meixi Township and on the south by Yunlong Township. Although it is an urban area, the terrain is rugged, there is little flat land, and there are many buildings built on the mountain. The town covers an area of 8.98 square kilometers, of which the urban area is less than 2 square kilometers, so it is called "Xiaominqing County". In order to expand the urban area, the county government made a master plan in 1984. The new urban area is east to Tashan, west to Dalu Village, south to Meipu Village in Meixi Township to County Cement Factory, and north to Rongxing Village in Meixi Township to County Cement Factory, covering an area of 7.5 square kilometers, nearly three times larger than the original urban area. The town has two administrative villages, Chengguan and Dalu, three neighborhood committees, 49 13 households and 2 1790 people (including county-level organs, enterprises and institutions).
There are five streets, one city, four shops and nine lanes in the old county, but they are short and narrow. It was not until 3 1 (1942) and 10 in the Republic of China that the main street caught fire for the second time that a decent cross street (200 meters in length and width 14 meters) was built, and there were only more than 50 shops. After the establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC), a new street named Jiefang Street was built to the west along the original Cross Street, with a length of 1500m and a width of 12 ~ 20m, which became a main street in the county. The former Cross Street extends to the left and right, with a length of 200m and a width of14m, and is named South Street. In addition, a half street with a length of 190 m and a width of 14 m was expanded. Urban roads 13, including Minjiang River, Yuejin, Nanmen, Ximen, Chengqian, Peking University, Xibin, Taishan South, Middle and North, and Meixi Township, with a total length of nearly 10 km. Five new bridges have been built in Meixi reach of the city, namely Meixi, Meicheng, Taishan, Xikou and Meixi single-hole long-span stone arch bridges. On the Minjiang River between Meipu and Shangpu, there is a Minqing Bridge, the length of which is second only to Quanzhou Bridge. The west and north of the town are industrial areas, the middle is commercial areas, and the east, south and southwest are new residential areas.
