Brief introduction of Hongyang cave
According to legend, Ge Hong and Yang Lou, famous Taoist priests in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, once lived here to practice alchemy, hence the name Hongyang Cave. Since Yan Song, the prime minister of the Ming Dynasty, studied in the cave when he was young, there is a myth that the fox fairy class swallowed the night pearl, so people also call it Yan Song Cave and Tiger Fairy Cave. As early as the Eastern Jin, Liu and Song Dynasties, Hongyang Cave was well known. Because of its rugged bells and inscriptions all over the country, Hongyang Cave was included in the large-scale book "Integration of Ancient and Modern Books" compiled by the Qing Dynasty, and a special Hongyang Cave System was established for it in the book "Mountain River Classic", which is rare in similar caves in China, enough to show its heavy and rich cultural connotation.
