Rongjiang No.1 Middle School, formerly known as the National Guizhou Normal School, was founded in 1940. In March 2007, Rongjiang No.1 Middle School moved into a new school site to run a school.

Now the school covers an area of more than 200 mu, with a building area of 45,920 square meters. The layout is divided into three parts: teaching area, living area and sports area.

There are 2 teaching buildings and 90 classrooms in the teaching area. Science and technology building 1 seat, including multimedia academic lecture hall 1 seat, five student computer rooms, information center 1 seat, electronic reading room 1 seat and three multimedia classrooms. There are 15 science, chemistry and biology laboratories, and 65438 instrument rooms are equipped according to the first-class standards of provincial demonstration high schools. There are four dormitory buildings in the living area, 1 student canteen, 1 student bathroom, and department stores, which are convenient for eating, living and using. There are 1 football field, 7 basketball courts and a standard 400-meter circular track in the sports area.
