Hangzhou Library was established in July 1958, formerly known as Hangzhou Library. In May, it was renamed as 196 1, and the Children's Branch of Hangzhou Library was established in June 1963. In June 2008, the new Hangzhou Library was completed and officially opened. As of 20 18 and 12, Hangzhou Library has a building area of 50,000 square meters, 3,942 reading seats, 0/6 institutional departments and 186 employees. There are 5.863 million books in the collection, including 32,000 ancient books, 330,000 newspapers and periodicals, and 647,000 audio-visual documents.
The image logo of Hangzhou Library is dominated by bright red, and the overall design is made up of graphic elements such as "fingerprint", "traditional map" and "West Lake ripple" through artistic transformation. The traditional word "Figure" is skillfully integrated into the fingerprint graphic elements, a "ripple" and a Hang Cheng. The ripples in the West Lake reflect the geographical particularity of Hangzhou Library, and show the historical and cultural details of Hang Cheng with dynamic water.
