Sichuan Railway Vocational College is a full-time public institution of higher learning directly under the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education. The school is located in Pidu District, Chengdu, with two campuses in Chengdu and Neijiang, covering an area of 585 mu. There are teaching and training buildings, libraries, student apartments, student canteens, multi-functional auditoriums, sports fields and other school buildings, with a construction area of 654.38+0.682 million square meters. The school recruits students from five provinces (cities) such as Sichuan, Chongqing, Yunnan, Guizhou and Gansu, with more than 7,400 full-time students.

Full-time ordinary higher vocational colleges transformed from the former Sichuan Provincial Administrative Finance and Trade Management Cadre College are headed by the Party School of Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and Sichuan Administration College. Neijiang Railway Machinery School was established in 1952. It is the first batch of national key ordinary secondary vocational schools directly under the former Ministry of Railways. It is a national model school for educational reform and development approved by the Ministry of Education. In 2004, it was handed over to the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education for management and became a directly affiliated institution.
