Reconstruction of Chongqing University of Technology Library 1986. After years of efforts, the library of Chongqing University of Technology has developed into a large-scale multidisciplinary university library. By 20 10, the library has two buildings, Yangjiaping Campus Library and Huaxi Campus Temporary Library, with a total construction area of more than 20,000 square meters. The total capacity is 2.3 million copies, including 6,543,800 copies of paper resources, 6,543,800 copies of electronic books and nearly 2,000 reading seats.

The library currently has 5 1 employees. There are 42 people with bachelor degree or above, accounting for 82% of all employees; Senior professional and technical personnel 1 person, deputy senior professional and technical titles 12 people, intermediate professional and technical titles of 26 people, and the number of employees with intermediate and above professional and technical titles accounts for 76%. There are 26 people in party member, accounting for 5 1% of the staff.

The library now has seven departments, including office, editorial department, circulation department, reading department, periodical department, technology department and information department.

In recent years, in line with the concept of "teaching as the center, educating people as the foundation, and running a library with satisfactory readers", the library has adhered to Scientific Outlook on Development closely around the teaching and scientific research work of the school, which has made the library level leap to a new level and provided readers with an open and comfortable reading environment. Resource construction pays attention to the enjoyment and integration of resources, paying equal attention to traditional literature and digital resources, and constantly improving the quality of resources; Reader service not only attaches importance to infrastructure construction, but also strengthens reader analysis and research; Automation construction has a high starting point, focusing on functional expansion, tracking and applying new technologies, and constantly enhancing network service capabilities; Information service not only explores the deep development and utilization of information resources, but also pays attention to the education and cultivation of readers' information literacy.

Through hard work, the library has played an important role in assisting teaching, scientific research and self-study. In recent years, the library receives 800,000 readers annually, borrows 600,000 books annually, visits more than 600,000 websites annually, downloads nearly 1 10,000 digital documents annually, and trains more than 5,000 readers annually.
