Animation Institute, formerly a film and television animation major, was founded in 2003. After more than four years of steady development, Animation Institute was established in the third round of internal management system reform at the end of 2007. Animation Institute is the first professional college in Hebei Province that integrates animation talent training and animation product development. Now it has five professional directions: 2D animation, 3D animation, digital media, game art and film and television production. At present, there are 26 full-time and part-time teachers, including animation professionals from universities all over the country and senior animation producers from enterprises. There are more than 400 students in the school.

Animation Institute trains compound and technical animation directors, animation designers, senior talents in film and television production, multimedia network talents, game research and development talents and post-production talents with certain professional theoretical knowledge and strong creativity and design ability. The animation works of teachers and students of Animation Institute have participated in many domestic and international animation festival competitions and achieved excellent results. Works designed and produced by teachers and students, such as Legend of the Clever Fox, Weather Changed, Dream, etc. , has been shortlisted for the Academy Award of Beijing Film Academy, in which The Legend of the Smart Fox has been broadcast in a cartoon city of CCTV.

Animation Institute has a fully functional and advanced animation production training base, which can carry out 2D and 3D animation production, post-film synthesis, TV column packaging, recording synthesis and other teaching practices and project production. In 2007, the training base became a national training base supported by the Ministry of Education and the central government. In 2008, it was awarded the title of "National Animation Industry Development (Shijiazhuang) Base". Animation Institute has become the certification training institution for 3D animators of Autodesk China MAYA and MAX Authorized Management Center and the certification institution for designers of Adobe Digital Art Center (ADAC).

Animation Institute has been carrying out the teaching mode of "teaching integration", and signed multi-mode cooperation agreements with more than 20 large animation production companies in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, making these enterprises become off-campus training bases of animation institute, thus achieving the teaching purposes of direct docking between teaching and enterprise projects, direct docking between students and enterprise employees, and corporate mode management of teaching. Fundamentally improve students' professional ability, enhance students' employment competitiveness after graduation, and realize zero distance of students' employment. College graduates are mainly employed in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and other animation industry developed areas, and the employment market and employment prospects are very good.
