Wenzhou University Library was formed in September 2004 by the merger of the former Wenzhou University Yu Ying Library and the former Wenzhou Normal University Library. At present, the buildings include the Yu Ying Library in the south campus and the library in the north campus. The books of the former Shaw Library in Xueyuan Road Campus have been moved to the North Campus Library, with a total area of 46,560 square meters. In particular, the Yu Ying Library in the South Campus was built with an investment of 88 million yuan, covering an area of 66,700 square meters and a construction area of 375 10 square meter. It is magnificent and fully functional.

On June 9th, 2006, 165438+ school moved the title of Professor Su, the former library, honorary president and famous mathematician of Wenda University, to the boulder in front of the library, adding more historical and cultural flavor. It is located in the center of the higher education park, radiating to all universities and surrounding communities in the park, laying a good foundation for building a platform for all libraries in the higher education park to share the overall resources.

It is not only a traditional document storage base, but also an open super-large document information center to a greater extent.

Today, Yu Ying Library, located at the foot of Camellia River and Luoda Mountain, has become the largest library in southern Zhejiang and eastern Fujian, and is a new academic landmark of Wenzhou Higher Education Park. In addition, the Yu Ying Library, which is surrounded by green trees and full of flowers, has become a charming landscape on campus, attracting many citizens to visit.

Wenzhou University Library will focus on the "three goals" and "seven strategies" of the school, and take the smart library under the basic background of teaching and research universities as the construction goal, actively plan the top-level design to help the school develop.
