Do you know what a bird's paradise is?
There are more than 40 species of birds inhabiting the Xisha Islands. The common birds are boobies, black terns, crested terns and black-edged pastoral eyes, which are known as "bird paradise". In the upper layer of the whole forest and above it, thousands of seabirds hover all day, forming a unique spectacle. What is more interesting is that boobies will guide fishing boats in the sea. During the day, fishermen cast nets by boat according to the gathering and foraging direction of boobies, and at night, according to the route they flew back, they drove fishing boats from the vast sea to a nearby island to park. Fishermen call boobies "navigation birds".
