I want to make a wardrobe and bookcase in my study. How to design better?
How to build a bookshelf to look good? Share with you a few super simple methods to break the dull feeling and instantly enhance the beauty and temperament of the space ~

As we all know, it is boring to show all the upright decorations or all the plane decorations. The decoration of the bookcase can actually be very simple. The trick is to break the plane and get rid of it from the vertical and horizontal planes! So, if you only have a pile of books and a tall vase, follow me to make a small change:

1. Top stacked ornaments

Put a bunch of boring books in first, and then you can put an ornament on top of the pile. Think of it as an interruption of the same mode (book-book-book-highlight! ), the decorations stacked on the top are particularly eye-catching and will make the arrangement more interesting.

2. Use the object as a bookend

If your book just stands upright on the shelf, then we can use unique ornaments or vases instead of the book stand ~

Step 3 Alternate book placement

Next is the advanced version ~ combine the first and second methods to make your decoration more perfect! First, divide the books into upright and stacked ones. Then use an ornament to connect the two planes. You can also add an extra ornament on the other side to serve as a bookend for upright books.

In addition, we follow the following points in the arrangement of bookshelves:

Minimum shelf design

By visual weight, I mean something heavy, huge, dark or opaque. The heaviest items are placed at the bottom of the bookshelf, and the light items are placed on the higher bookshelf, which will reduce the visual weight and will not appear top-heavy. The easiest way is to use a storage container, such as a dustbin, a basket or a box with a lid. Of course, visually heavier alternatives include decorative boxes, magazine rack or oversized books.

Intermediate bookshelf design

This is the place where styles need to be made most, and it is also the place where all books and most decorative items are placed. The layout here should be clearer than the shelf below. If you only put books, in order to break the visual weight of a pile of books, you can use bookends or decorations, such as vases or lanterns, as bookends. A good way to fill the visual space without increasing the visual weight is to lean the photo frame, artwork or tray against the wall behind other decorations.

top-level design

The key to the top frame is to keep it light and simple. Remember, when we go to the bookshelf, we will reduce the visual weight, so the top should be the lightest. But that doesn't mean using small objects. One of my favorite top shelf styles is the use of large decorations, which can keep the rest of the shelf blank and leave enough breathing space for large items.
